Massive manhunt for escaped JI terror leader Singapore's most wanted militant escaped from the Whitley Road detention centre on Wednesday afternoon
THE leader of the Singapore terrorist Jemaah Islamiyah (JI) network, Mas Selamat Kastari, escaped from the Whitley Road detention centre at about 4.05 pm on Wednesday, said the Ministry of Home Affairs in a statement.
A massive manhunt involving the police, Gurkhas and Special Operations Command forces, is underway to track down the escaped detainee, who walks with a limp.
'He is not known to be armed. Extensive police resources have been deployed to track him down,' said the ministry statement.
The forces have fanned out to areas in Beauty World in Upper Bukit Timah, Goldhill Avenue near Barker Road, and the men are knocking on homes asking residents if they have seen the escapee.
Undercover police officers are also questioning staff of petrol stations, convenience stores and checking their CCTV footage in case the terrorist leader had entered their premises earlier.
At Malcolm Park, near the Singapore Chinese Girls School, scores of forces have formed a formidable blockade around the park.
The public is asked to contact the police at 999 if they know of his whereabouts.
He was linked to a plot to crash a hijacked plane into Changi Airport.
it was just like, a month ago. exams were everything in my mind. freaking out over exams, losing sleep over exams. because of the chinese new year before exams, everyone went insane, like, studying during cny period? no wonder i kept losing money this cny.
alright. saturday i nearly died at home. just totally, rotted at home, watched some movies. Mr. Woodcock, The Darjeeling Limited. both shows are hilarious, but the darjeeling limited, abit stupid. not exactly a nice show to watch thou. slowly, rotted at home, until at night. left hse ard 8, to meet and go to kianwee's house for mahjong. i reached, and shortly after kelvin and kk reached. mahjonged and watching soccer at the same time. actually i didnt win alot of times, i won lesser times than kianwee. but because most of my wins were like 4-tai or 5-tai, so initially won more. but after the break, changed seats, i only won once. lost the remaining. overall still managed to win 8bucks.
by the time we finished, it was already, 8am. breakfasted, and went back to kianwee's hse for a short rest. and headed to esther's house after that. it was on a SUNDAY. 24th february 2007. anyways, reached there, ate a little lunch. and played bridge, tv, bridge, tv, tv, eat, tv. watched tv almost, the whole time there. so we just rotted watching tv, and bridge, while some played blackjack. so had dinner, and went homeeeeeeeeeeeee. it was, around 7+ near 8pm only.
this year's gathering is no longer like last year anymore. everyone seemed to be so far apart, thou. nevermind, we'll still meet up soon i hope.

watched death note. okay, it is nice. interesting. the thing i liked about death note, is the way they create the story to let it have that suspense and the way L solves everything. yeah. cool shit. i haven't ate anything since morning, and i am darn hungry now.

okay. bmgt, the most dreaded paper is finally over. but i don't know whether should i feel happy or sad. because, i left the exam venue with several blanks. blanks as in, not blanks that worth 1 mark. blacks of paragraphs, which i didnt know how to answer the questions. be it 7marks, 8marks, 10marks, 12marks. those that i knew, i just wrote. those that i didn't know, i just wrote NONSENSE, hoping that some fairy would enlighten my paper. holy fuckthepaper.
